Preparation of the Branch Campus
During the China-Central Asia Summit, General Secretary Xi Jinping and President Tokaev witnessed the signing of a framework agreement on cooperation with the Kazakhstan Branch of Northwestern Polytechnical University.
Academic System
The duration of the Branch Campus programme is two years. In the first year, the courses are jointly taught by the two universities, and NPU sends teachers to Kazakhstan to give lectures; in the second year, the students will come to China and enter the university to carry out research projects.
II. Introduction of the Major:
SEI ranks as one of the nation’s most prominent. The disciplines of Information and Communication Engineering, System and Control Engineering, and Electronic Science and Technology ranked A-, A-, and B+ according to the 5th round of discipline assessment of the Ministry of Education, and all three disciplines ranked in the top 10% according to ARWU. In ARWU’s global ranking of academic subjects, SEI’s remote sensing, EE, automation & control, and telecommunication engineering ranks 10, 38, 51-75, and 101-150 worldwide.
SEI's research spreads into every aspect of modern electronics and information, including satellite communication and navigation, advanced remote sensing using AI, computer vision, telecommunication, 5G/6G, IoT, avionics, electromagnetic field and microwave, micro/nano electronics, intelligent electronic systems, brain-computer integration and many more. In the tradition of research excellence, SEI continues to innovate and pioneer new technical frontiers at all time.
